Engineer for a Day

When the boys heard that for Pet Owners Independence Day they would get to go to work in place of Daddy, an Engineer, they sprinted off to gather what they felt would be the classic tools and clothes needed for the job.

Slide Rule

A Slide Rule*?

Really Zachary?

Just how old do you think we are?

And I can assure you that even Engineers aren't geeky enough to wear antenna balls at work.

At least not on Wednesday's.

Now you're just plain being silly.

I'm an Engineer

Aww... Henry. That's so cute!

I'm an Engineer

But... but... Oh dear.

I'm an Engineer

I'm so sorry Henry, Daddy's just not that kind of Engineer.

Editor's Note

* Slide Rule: we really are a bit too young for Slide Rules. The beauty pictured was purchased this past Christmas as humorous stocking stuffer for my son.

That last shot of Henry just breaks your heart to see that face! I just want to hug him and tell him, it's ok, Daddy will quit his job and be THAT kind of engineer! What an adorable pix!!! :)

I'd say you two look perfect for a day on the job with dad.

I remember slide rulers, not that I knew how to use them or even did use them! yes, I guess I am that old! but never too old to enjoy seeing your 'boys' up to their usual antics!

Oh cool, they definitely both look the part! Although the antenna balls are a little questionable...! :)

Engineers are not too reserved to wear antenna balls to work, but they are too reserved to wear the fluffy pastel ones, I'll bet. What you really need is one of those horse head masks.
