Smarter than your Honor Student

Smarter than your Honor Student

Dog Blog Post #659: Note to self: in the future, when doing a "product ad", pick a photo taken some other day to go on your label. Taking the shot, then making the product label, then shooting the ad photo, then making the actual ad, is a bit much.

If you will recall from yesterday, I missed the Daily Dog Challenge of...

166. Spokes Dog

... due to a headache.

So I went to work today to fix that, setting up The Set and then shooting the picture that was going to be the label of my product. Then I had to take everything down, as I was in the kitchen, and I couldn't just leave that stuff sitting in there.

Off to the study I ran, with camera in tow, to:

Upload and pick the shot for the label
Dream up the slogan

Smart Food for Smarter Dogs

Create the label
Apply the label to the sacrificial box

... then back to the kitchen to set The Set back up again and take the picture with the product for the ad. Then I had to take everything down, of course, as I was done.

Whew.

Off to the study I ran, with camera in tow, to:

Upload and pick the shot for the ad
Create the ad
And finally upload to flickr.

Whew.

The results are...

BZ Training Treats

BZ Training Treats

The shot at the very top of this post, which has nothing to do with the product (but was taken at the same time) is for:

Scavenge Challenge April 2012 - "10. The subject must have at least one lens, but it may NOT be a camera or camera-phone."

Our Daily Challenge - April 15, 2012 - "Bright"

And yes, Goldens really are that smart. :)

Meanwhile, time marches on, and so today there was a yet another Daily Dog Challenge assignment...

167. The Golden Rules

... which I plucked from the pictures I took for the product label...

Portrait of Zachary

And finally, we have our Mischief Monday shot...

BZ Training Treats
Gee, Henry, they aren't THAT bad, are they???

Actually, both boys love their Canidae snap-bits, which is why Henry is staring at them so longingly. :)

Apologies to Canidae for using their snap-bits as the "product". I just ran out of time to make my own. That said, they are my favorite treat for photography rewards as they aren't greasy or crumbly, they are easy to toss and for the boys to catch, and the boys love them! (No affiliation, just a happy customer.)

You were very busy! I'm glad you got so many shots done in one day. You must have been on a roll!

Do you still want to do the pirate assignment? I'll try to figure out a good time to work it in! It will NOT be Monday or Tuesday! lol

Hi Y'all,

That last pic is too funny!

Just hopped over to catch up with your happenings and say hello! Have fun this week and try to avoid gettin' into mischief!

Y'all come by now,

Hey Henry, Hey Zachary, Jet here.

You boys did it again, Mom is laughing quietly (she's at her biscuit earning place at lunchtime.)

We like snap bits, too... Your mischief picture looks like you're contemplating rather than making mischief, correct???
