April Fools

Evil Hex Ball

Dog Blog Post #645: It wasn't my idea, Henry. Honest.

Blame the nasty Daily Dog Challenge topic selection chairwoman for coming up with...

153. Surprise! - It's April Fool's Day! Take a picture that shows a surprise or prank today, or something that gives us a good laugh!

Our Daily Challenge - Apr 1, 2012, "Begins with 'F'"…

And you get... Frustration!

This was actually supposed to be a Zachary picture, as I was sure he would go nuts trying to get the Lacrosse Ball out of the Hex Ball, having seen him do so numerous times.

Alas, he (being the clever one, I suppose) quickly decided that one of the dozen other Lacrosse Balls scattered about the yard would do just fine, thank you very much.

Thankfully (for me) Henry took up the challenge and poked, pulled, prodded, chewed, and otherwise tried his hardest to "save" the Lacrosse Ball from the Evil Hex Ball.

In the end, of course, I took pity on my most accommodating (at least for today) model, and extracted it for him. :)

Mischief indeed!

Oh Henry! I feel terrible now! Truly wretched! You are still adorable, though. And the killer is that I never did get a shot I liked for that assignment. Hopefully I can get one today and get back on track! Gah!
