Dog Blog Post #617: Today's Daily Dog Challenge was

125. Pastel - Take a picture with pastel colors today!

... which fit right in with...

Scavenge Challenge March 2012 - "16. Make pastel colors the unifying theme of an image."
112 Pictures in 2012 - "#68. Pale"

... and had nothing to do with...

Our Daily Challenge - Mar 4, 2012 - "Stacks"

... but that's OK, as it gave direction to the otherwise vague the pastel/pale challenges.

I was pretty much at a loss what to do until late afternoon, when I decided to see if I could pick up some pale/pastel fabric at the fabric store since I tend to prefer the darker tones and that's pretty much all I have save white and pink (for Valentine's day.)

While I was there, I found this lovely blue&white check fleece (love fleece - it hangs nicely, doesn't cause glare, and tents to resist wrinkling.) Anyway, with fabric in hand, I started thinking I'd go with an "It's a Boy!" baby theme. Alas, on returning home, I realized son's baby stuff is in a box or two (or ten) and not at all accessible.

So I rummaged through the puppy bin (Yes, I have one. Yes, it is accessible. Stop laughing.) and came up with some pastel toys.

(Hint: rubber bands work wonders to hold woolie toys together when you want to stack them and have them stay stacked!)

For whatever reason, the boys got a kick out of this shoot, and a good time was had by all.

Adorable. I'm impressed not only that the dogs stayed still long enough for you to stack and photograph (my dogs would for sure move their heads) but also at how clean and not-destuffed-or-beheaded the puppy toys are!

I am still melting and gushing over these pictures! I can't believe you didn't save them for Wordless Wednesday. They are adorable! I just want to hug both of the boys.
