He did It

Eh Hem...
Henry: "Not my fault!"

Dog Blog Post #631: The Daily Dog Challenge offered up...

139. Leading Lines - Take a photo with some kind of leading lines today. They can be natural or created. (which matches with: 100 Pictures - "#91. Leading Lines")

... while Our Daily Challenge (Mar 18. 2012) went with "Recent Purchase".

After two days of set shots, I decided to take the easy way out today - or at least a way that didn't involve dragging out fabric, backboards and setting up lights.

But what?

Hmmm....

Lines
Lines
Lines

Alas, nothing much came to mind - certainly nothing that matched with recent purchase. Bereft of ideas, I decided to gather up the pile of recyclable papers for a trip to the big green bin - and that's when I saw it.

Eh Hem...
Zachary: "That's not MY head in the box!"

The empty Snap-Bits box.

I've tried literally dozens of different treats for rewards during photography sessions, but Snap-Bits by Canidae are my absolute favorite (not affiliated, reimbursed, etc. Just a fan); they don't leave crumbs, are easy to toss and catch, are big enough to see yet not so big that the boys fill up, seem reasonably nutritious, and the boys love them.

Anyway, having just refilled the photography treat canister, the box was sitting alone and dejected on the counter. It immediately brought to mind how much the boys love ripping apart boxes, carriers, and cartons - just about anything made of paper.

On any given day, you'll find my floor littered with paper articles in various states of dismemberment. Just follow the trail of scraps and you'll probably find a dog at the end of it!

Eh Hem...
Henry: "Oh, yes it is!"

Presto!

I just set up the tripod, made a trail, put the boys at the end of it, dropped a few Snap-Bits in the box, grabbed the remote, dropped the box, and snapped away. Then repeated it a couple times to make sure I had a selection of shots to choose from.

After I saw the shots, I went out a limb and submitted the top shot for...

Scavenge Challenge March 2012 - "8. Make us laugh or show someone laughing."

As humor is relative, and my subject matter is somewhat constrained, it may take me a few tries to get that one.

That said, it at least made me laugh. :P

Eh Hem...
Guilty, as charged

Hey Henry, Hey Zachary, Jet here. We like Snap Bits, too!

Oh your human is so clever... it's recycling day here too... I do NOT think this constitutes mischief, you guys were simply breaking down the recycling items to help, right?!

Henry & Zachary were definitely interested in those Snap-bits, but look like they're wondering why you made such a mess. :)
