Smooth

Dog Bowling?
Dog Blog Post #415:  I knew exactly what I wanted to do when read today's Daily Shoot assignment...

Make a photograph of something smooth.

What popped to mind? The song "Smooth Operator" by Sade (1984/5). Most definitely not my kind of music, but Top 40 hits were hard to avoid back then, and such songs, through hourly repetition, tended to stick in your head like the Barney jingle.

(I love you. You love me. We're a happy family...)

Joy.

Anyway, for those too young or too old to have been so inflicted, Wikipedia states (in a uncharacteristically clunky way) that "Smooth Operator" is "about a fashionable man who lives a jet-set lifestyle. He is popular with women and breaks many hearts."

But, alas, while I'm sure Zachary could have played the part if I had figured out how to dress him for it, it was not meant to be. Perhaps it's the heat, or the low lighting I'm forced to live with until temps fall back into the 70's (somewhere in November) but I just drew a blank.

Soooo...

Instead, we go from a fashionable jet-setter to... the bowling league.

No wonder the boys are looking unimpressed!

And yes, I once again raided my son's room for a prop.

Dog Bowling?

... one of these days I'm going to have to get a life of my own to photograph. :)

Moving right along, we have another Scavenger Challenge picture:

#13) "Delicate or work-hardened, shoot close up to capture the character of a hand or hands."

Give you three guesses where I got it from, and who is holding it.

(Hint: For once the answer is neither Zachary nor Lacrosse Ball!)

Smooth Operator? All you needed was a smoking jacket! ;) I'm sure one of the boys could have pulled it off Continental style! I still think you should have put peanut butter on it!

That has to be your son with the game controller!

First letter of a name? Should I go with mine or Bunny's?

It's so cute how in the first photo of the two boys they're looking all serious and in the second photo they're more relaxed and smiling:) Now I've got Smooth Operator running through my head, lol!

Yes, gotta be your son.

Now that would be a pretty big ball to toss.
