H and Z

H and Z

Dog Blog Post #416: Ah, the Daily Shoot took pity on us for Monday (for once) with:

Make a photo that has your first letter of your name in it.

True, finding something that started with "Z" was a bit tough, but at least I knew my backup plan (above) was doable. The boys are so accustomed to this setup at this point that you will notice they aren't actually focusing on the cookies on the tray, which are quite real.

Nope, they are looking at a small white ramekin containing bits of cookies, sitting on the floor in front of the tray, since those are the actual treats that I will be giving them during the shoot - a whopping six pictures in this case.

I'm not exactly sure when they figured out they never get the food props during the shoot, but this is the first time I made the connection.

I also think it means I need to pick some new photography skill to work on as they seen to have "leave it" (and hat wearing!) pretty much nailed.

(Of course they got some of the pictured cookies when we were done - three cookies each, plus splitting the remains of the cookie bits from the ramekin. Must pay ones models well if you want them to work for you in the future!)

BTW: I *did* manage to find something that started with "Z", and I even took a picture of it.

And I liked the picture.

A lot.

But it just didn't come through well as a thumbnail, and so it wasn't chosen. It would, however, make a mighty fine Wordless Wednesday shot. Hmmm.... :)

Let's see, where was I catching up on Scavenger Challenge shots? Ah yes...

#12) Converging railroad tracks create a distant "vanishing point." Shoot something similar.

Vanishing Point

Editor's Note: And yes, those were son's hands on son's xbox controller in yesterday's shot. He even paused long enough for me to get a good shot in the dim lighting! What a good boy. :)

I love your choices for the H and Z! That turned out so cute! I have to say, I really enjoyed this assignment, and I wouldn't mind seeing it come back once. I wondered what you'd do, but I should have known!

It does look like the boys need more of a challenge now. Leaving treats is just too easy for them! Great concept for the photo:)

I wonder what we're going to see tomorrow?
