Darkness

Negativity
Dog Blog Post #405: The Daily Shoot assignment was:

Make a photograph that emphasizes the dark tones.

Push a slider here, pull a slider there, and then you move a curve around!

Another interpretation of the same picture is...

Dark Tones

... which was just pushed, pulled, and moved... less.

For an even more gentle approach, there's...

Paws

... although even it was created with the help of Curves.

And lastly, we have the (non-dog) Scavenge Challenge item #15) "Try to convey a particular smell (paint, new-mown hay, fresh bread) to your viewers."

Stinky Lacrosse Gear
Stinky Lacrosse Gear

I hope my description in Flickr sums it up pretty well...

I suppose if you've never smelled "Teen Boy Sports Gear" then this picture won't work for you.

Suffice it to say I practically passed out getting this close - particularly to those gloves!

I really love the paw shot! That would be awesome for today's assignment. The girls were feeling generous and already let me get a picture for today, which I'll have to load after work. I almost went with black and white for yesterday's assignment, but changed my mind.

I actually wrinkled my nose before I saw that the last picture was for smell for the Scavenge Challenge! Ha ha ha! That is a great idea!

Your shots are always amazing, but that first one was stunning. It just grabbed me when I pulled up your page.
