Crafty Canines

Crafty Canines
Zachary: "Welcome to Crafty Canines. Today we will explore the ancient art of Knitting."

And what are you knitting?

Crafty Canines
Zachary: "Today we will make a scarf."
Henry: "Just like this one."

Umm… just like that piece of scarf, you mean.

After all, you still have a few more feet to go to… well…

Crafty Canines
(silence)

Umm…

Never mind.

Knitting

Dog Blog Post #1597

The boys demonstrating that Even stitches result in Parallel Lines in knitting.

Editor's Note: After a few false starts last weekend, this is their first semi-successful project.

While I've always enjoyed small needle crafts (mostly embroidery and needlepoint) I didn't get around to trying knitting until last weekend.

I found it a great activity while watching football, although my stitches seemed to get tighter as the game got closer.

Mischief Monday

My favorite in-camera filter for the Nikon D7000 is Color Sketch, but while I usually create an image every day (with a prior day's picture) just to see how it looks, I don't typically upload them due to lack of time.

However, I really liked yesterday's shots for Maximus Barkatus...

I can't really knit with the pups - I end up with so much fuzz in the finished product that doesn't belong there! BOL!

yep, Cole would just eat the scarf. He likes almost any art project more than his food. Love the colored sketch. I didn't know you did craft, my blog is all about living the creative life! I love BZDogs.

I thought the knitting photos would be your Monday Mischief. It's great you can be so confident in your dogs' good behavior that you'll pose them by knitting needles. I don't think I could have put my Bentley next to pointy objects and trusted that he wouldn't poke himself.

The in-camera filter photos are fantastic. I have a Nikon 5100 and just saw that it has the same filter. I'll have to give it a try.
