Canine Beauty Treatment

Canine Beauty Treatment
Henry: "Zzzzzz"

Henry's winter coat is coming it - note his "fashionable" Bed Head look.

The green-handled tool on the left is his undercoat rake, the only thing I use. Hard to see from this angle, but it looks like a tiny rake with thick, blunt, wide-spaced, plastic-coated tines. It goes harmlessly through the topcoat and rakes out the fluffy dead undercoat that otherwise gets shed all over the house.

I really should use it more often.

Canine Beauty Treatment
Zachary: "I could get used to this."

Zachary's coat changes little with the seasons, staying straight and smooth. There is little point in combing him, as he doesn't really enjoy it and almost nothing comes out.

Perhaps Son is right, and Zachary simply puts on a layer of blubber as winter approaches.

Our Daily Challenge - Nov 15, 2014 - "Tools"

Wish I had left the camera on the ground, as I had it for the Still Life test shot (below).

It just didn't look right on the LCD so I raised the camera a bit when I added the boys.

Oh well, live and learn.
