Over the Top

Fur on Fur
Zachary's long guard hairs (bramble fur) - over the top of his shoulders (withers).

Fur on Fur
Zachary - short and dense fur on his upper front leg at the elbow.

Fur on Fur
Amber fields of Henry.
Not sure if the general blur was due to a wider aperture (f/4.5) or one of us moving.

Fur on Fur
Henry's upper thigh fur showing pale against his darker flank.
He was laying on his side for this one.

Dog Blog Post #1301

The boys have Plenty of fur Over The Top of themselves.

NOTE: The top shot is rarity, as I actually had to switch to manual focus.

At that distance distance, with the end of the lens about 3" from the patch of fur, the poor camera just couldn't decide which particular hair to focus on.

These were taken with my Nikkor 60mm Macro lens.

Daily Dog Challenge 809. "Over The Top"

Paw Pads Revisited

Henry's Toe Pad
One of Henry's rear toe pads, showing same scales as the larger pad from a few days ago.
End of lens was about 2.5" away from the center of image.

Henry's Toes
A bit further back - the pad detailed above is the large one in the middle of this shot.

Love these close up shots. Golden loveliness. Have a serene Sunday and get on some big easy today.
Best wishes Molly

Great detail, the pad shots would be perfect for one of those 'guess what this is' puzzles.
