Go Sharks!

Editor's Note: Was saddened to hear that Lilac of Tales and Tails journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Seems like it's been a rough few weeks in the blogging world.

Each time I hear of another friend who has moved on, I read again the poem sent, by a vet I'd never met, when I lost Beau...

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle; easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we would still live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan."

-- Irving Townsend

... and then I hug my boys and cry.

That poem really says it all for those of us who love our pets. There seem to have been an awful lot leaving us in recent weeks.

Those jerseys fit the boys well, they could be team mascots!

That poem is beautiful! I think it's very true. As my vet said yesterday, "We cry so much because they were so loved." It would be worse if there were no one to cry for her. Thank you for your kind words!

And I loved the boys' pictures, and your interpretation of some of those prompts!

Great photos.

So sad about Lilac. :( Beautiful quote you shared, however.
