The boys enjoying one of the Simple Pleasures of life as Zachary reads to his young Charge.

Editor's Note: This was my first attempt to knit a hat - a Tam, to be precise.

It came out ridiculously big, but as it was so easy to knit that I've already cranked out another.

That one (black) came out ridiculously small, of course.

(sigh)

They say the third time is the charm.

If so, then I should have a perfect hat (camouflage!) within the next few days.

The boys know they are supposed to stay on whichever side they are on, and presence of the gate is enough to keep them in place even if the gate doesn't physically make it across the opening in question.
