There's No Place Like Home

The Sporting Dog

Eh hem…

Really, Henry?

Dog Blog Post #594: Ok... today's photo (below) was a bit of a yawner, although not for lack of trying. I really needed to get this particular Scavenge Challenge item down, and today seemed a good day. Took me 45 minutes of setup/takedown, and I still hate it:

There's No Place Like Home

Scavenge Challenge February 2012 - "12. Photograph room furnishings as if you were going to present the image in a magazine."

(This is round 2, as my first effort - the outtakes are shown above - were rejected.)

I went to the House Beautiful website and browsed through their photo offerings.

Then I practically had to rearrange the entire house to put this together. While the bookcase and curtains really do live there, the rest (chair, pillow (not usually in that chair), lamp, picture, and swans) come from a variety of other places and rooms.

I'm just sure House Beautiful will be calling at any moment.

Our Daily Challenge - Feb. 10, 2012 - "So Nice To Come Home To"

A comfy chair, pillow, book, and an adoring (and adorable!) dog.

What more could a body ask for?

Daily Dog Challenge "102. Picture Inside A Picture - Take a photograph of your dog that has another photograph within it. "

Hubby snapped this one up in Yosemite.

There's No Place Like Home
I like this one, but it seemed crowded with Zachary in the middle.

There's No Place Like Home
No, I didn't cut off his paws, they got "lost" trying to make the bookcase plumb.

And what's with all the comment spam in Blogger over the past 12 hours??? I might have to go to word verification if blogger doesn't get it's act together soon. Their spam filter has been nearly flawless up until today. :(

Aw, I love them! The last one is my favorite! I would totally buy a home magazine with a photo of your boys on the cover!

Please don't go to the captchas. They are soooo hard to read. I normally have to try 2-3 times to get it to work.

And, I haven't had any problems with spam comments coming through. Are you sure you didn't mess with your settings on accident or anything? I find that by not allowing anonymous comments, I generally get one spam comment per post, at the most, and it is always caught by the filter.

Hi Y'all,

Just hopped by to say hi.

I like the one staring in the food bowl. What I want to know is when does he get to eat?

My Human wants to know why he isn't drooling? (Guess 'cause I leave a puddle while I wait for my food.)

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

I think the pictures are really warm and inviting! It looks a lot better than my living room right now with the puppy crate and ex-pen set up in there. *grumble* I can't believe the first pictures didn't get accepted, though! Sheesh!
